Jumper 0 on the drive J1 connector is used for this purpose. When jumper 0 is in place, the drive may be used for either single drive operation or as master drive (C drive) in dual operation. When jumper 0 is removed, the drive is used as a slave drive (D drive) in dual operation. Remove Jumper 7 --------------- Remove jumper 7 tp prevent the drive from entering manufacturing test mode if pin A1 on the ATA connector is momentarily grounded. If the drive should inadvertently be placed in manufacturing test mode it will act like a hard drive failure to the PC.
